I am situated on just under an acre of land working to develop sustainable agriculture practices on the property using a variety of techniques including organic gardening and raising chickens and ducks. Since 2020 I have been using the land to experiment and expand upon my organic gardening techniques. Without a doubt, I can say I can provide some of the highest quality food for myself. My next step is to find a few people who are interested in taking part in a CSA so that no grown food is wasted (the chickens will happily eat the rest). This year I have been focusing on bed regeneration, cover cropping, and crop rotation. So I will be growing a smaller amount of crops this season in order to have stronger soils in the fall. It will be important to pick which crops are desired to grow. Storage onions are on my list as well as most things listed below.
